1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (or a combination of basil, oregano, and thyme)
Salt and black pepper to taste
Optional: Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Chicken:
Season the chicken fillets on both sides with salt and black pepper.
2. Cook the Chicken:
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium heat.
Add the chicken fillets and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and cooked through (the internal temperature should reach 165°F/74°C). Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
3. Make the Sauce:
In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for approximately 30 seconds until it becomes fragrant.
Pour in the chicken broth, scraping the bottom of the pan to incorporate any browned bits for added flavor.
Add the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, stirring until the cheese has melted and the sauce has thickened.
4. Season the Sauce:
Incorporate the Italian herbs and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper to your preference.
5. Combine & Serve:
Return the chicken fillets to the skillet, ensuring they are coated with the sauce. Allow them to simmer for 2-3 minutes to absorb the flavors.
If desired, garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
